Modern studios already control PTZ cameras centrally: panning, tilting and zooming are part of the established production workflow. Height adjustments, however, are often still made directly at the tripod.

The Robotic Data Box integrates height adjustment into the central control system. This is how Second Wave adds the missing fourth axis to automated camera systems.

Workflow benefits

With the Robotic Data Box, height adjustment becomes part of the central studio workflow. When people, camera angles or recording formats change, the height can be adjusted from the control room – without having to go to the Motorised Pedestal.

This reduces the need to move between the control room and the Motorised Pedestal, saves time and effort, makes it easier to prepare new setups and reduces manual operation during production.
